Drumroll please!
The first week of winners for our first week of bonuses!
The team from Murdoch in WA win this week's highlight:
"Our highlights of the week have been gaining experience in
public speaking during the pre-lecture announcements we made through the week.
We also enjoyed exploring the Jandakot Officeworks store and finding out about
all their products. They’re not just about stationery! They also have EVERYTHING
YOU NEED FOR YOUR OFFICE! Coffee machines, fantails, sugar, cleaning products,
the list is endless. Officeworks truly is your one stop shop!
Preparing for
O-day was exciting. We loved baking cupcakes and making posters for the stall,
very messy and very fun. Lastly, O-day itself was amazing. The limbo contest
proved to be a huge hit. The donut-eating contests were also popular. We had
people lining up and crowds all over Bush Court to watch and compete for a
chance to win the amazing prizes. The Officeworks clackers were ideal for
setting a fun atmosphere, getting people pumped and telling everyone that a
competition was about to start. Students kicking Officeworks footballs around
could be seen all over Bush Court proving them to be a great hit and also easy
advertising. By the end of the day, it was obvious our stall had been
successful - we were all happy, but exhausted and all the freebies had been
snatched up by eager students. All in all, we had a great time mingling with
people, telling them about Officeworks, learning about Officeworks ourselves and
gaining new skills that we will definitely be able to use again."
Yay!
The team from Edith Cowan University in WA win this week's photo bonus:
And the team from the University of Queensland in QLD win this week's bonus for campaign management.
James and Madeline were on the ball and organised well before their stall day. Then we got a call that UQ's union had changed their mind about Officeworks being present on their Market Day, and cancelled our booking. This was a huge last minute change to all the plans both Maddy and James had been making in all their preparation work. But we found our way into being involved with the O-Week activities at the colleges at UQ, and so the week turned back into a full on week with even MORE events and activities than had originally been planned. Add to this the absolutely disgusting wet weather happening at the time in Queensland, and the week could have been a disaster.
But James and Madeline absolutely shone. Each day's events had last-minute planning needed, between the ambassadors, me, the events coordinators at the colleges, and the Officeworks store reps. James and Maddy kept me updated with everything that was going on, remained organised, and kept their campaign objective in focus throughout the week. They also kept the energy levels up and got people enthusiastic about Officeworks- Madeline woke up mid-week (on her Birthday!) to find her street had been flooded, but all she cared about was that it meant she'd come a little later than planned because she now had to take the train. Talk about dedication to the red and blue!
Congratulations guys!
